Staff Application Security Engineer

Gemini is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer to own the technical strategy for securing critical attack surfaces like on-chain, exchange, and credit card systems. This role involves significant autonomy, partnering with senior engineering leadership, and designing/building AI agents to secure the SDLC at scale. You will be responsible for evolving secure development lifecycle guardrails, leading reviews, and creating security training for engineers.

• Own and evolve secure software development lifecycle guardrails
• Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, and penetration testing
• Design and build AI agents for automated threat modeling and secure code generation
• Create and deliver application security training to engineers
• Participate in Application Security on-call rotation and lead incident response
• 7-10+ years of experience in application security or product security
