About this role

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing security controls to protect enterprise web applications, APIs, and internet-facing services. You will leverage your expertise in WAF, bot protection, and DDoS mitigation to strengthen our digital perimeter, respond to threats, and continuously improve our security posture. This role involves close collaboration with various technical teams and participation in an on-call rotation.

What we are looking for

Administer and optimize Akamai security technologies (WAF, Bot Manager, DDoS)
Configure and tune WAF protections, rate limiting, and API security rules
Develop and maintain bot mitigation controls and analyze traffic for threats
Investigate and mitigate DDoS attacks, credential stuffing, and account takeover attempts
Monitor security telemetry and respond to security incidents
Partner with application, cloud, and infrastructure teams to enhance security
