Info Security Engineer II

Candescent is seeking an Information Security Engineer II to enhance application and edge security, focusing on Cloudflare-based controls. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to protect customer-facing applications and distributed systems, collaborating with engineering and incident response teams in a cloud-first FinTech environment.

• Design and manage Cloudflare security controls (WAF, bot mitigation, rate limiting, DNS)
• Strengthen web application security against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
• Configure and maintain firewalls and network protection mechanisms
• Lead vulnerability remediation efforts and protect cloud-based platforms
• Develop strategies for credential stuffing prevention and bot management
• Support incident response activities and analyze security events
