Staff Cyber Security Engineer

Abbott is seeking a Staff Cyber Security Engineer to lead efforts in medical device cybersecurity manufacturing. This role involves identifying and remediating vulnerabilities, collaborating with R&D and IT teams, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for medical devices. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement and is based in Sylmar, CA, or remote.

• Lead product manufacturing cybersecurity activities including incident response and vulnerability assessments
• Develop and perform manufacturing intrusion detection and risk assessments
• Ensure security controls are feasible for embedded/constrained environments
• Manage security deliverables for regulatory bodies and ensure compliance
• Evaluate and test security risks across the development lifecycle
• Develop advanced technical security ideas and guide their implementation
