Principal Engineer - Cybersecurity Incident Response

Lead the technical strategy for cybersecurity incident response engineering at Target. You will architect and develop secure, reliable services and automations using Python and cloud-native technologies to accelerate threat investigation and response. This role requires principal-level engineering leadership combined with deep incident response expertise, including hands-on support during active investigations and translating lessons learned into durable improvements.

• Set technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for incident response engineering
• Architect and lead development of secure services and automations using Python and cloud-native technologies
• Establish and drive engineering standards for CI/CD, observability, and resilient operations
• Lead design and development of SecOps and SOAR capabilities
• Provide hands-on incident commander support for complex cyber investigations
• Partner with various security and technology teams to convert requirements into scalable capabilities
