Security Engineer

Extra Space Storage is seeking a Security Engineer to protect our systems, applications, and data in both on-premises and cloud environments. This role is for a strategic thinker who can proactively identify and address security issues, implement controls, assess risks, and enhance monitoring and response processes. You will also contribute to shaping security policies and fostering a security-first culture across the organization.

• Implement security controls and hardening recommendations across IT assets
• Monitor emerging threats and apply security solutions
• Administer and tune endpoint and email security tools
• Support vulnerability management and incident response
• Develop security standards and technical documentation
• Promote security awareness and a security-first culture
