Lead Engineer – Cloud Security (Security Governance)

As a Lead Engineer on the Cloud Security team, you will be the senior technical owner of engineering workflows and services that enable cloud security governance at Target's scale. You will build automation and operational mechanisms to connect security intent with accountable decisions and action, ensuring security requirements are understood and adopted across the organization. This role requires a strong technical background, a builder's mindset, and excellent partnership skills to translate security policies into practical, usable processes for engineering teams.

• Lead Cloud Security governance engineering, setting technical direction and roadmap
• Design and operate a lifecycle for cloud security exceptions
• Engineer workflows connecting security findings, controls, and remediation
• Drive onboarding and adoption of Cloud Security capabilities
• Develop transparent reporting on governance metrics
• Partner with engineering teams to reduce friction and improve usability
