Staff Security Engineer, Enterprise Security Operations

Aurora Innovation is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to join their Enterprise Security Operations team. This role focuses on deeply configuring, tuning, and leveraging security platforms to ensure robust detection, response, and protection at an enterprise scale. You will be an expert in security tooling, proactively hunting threats, and ensuring the operational health of the security platform stack.

• Own operational health and continuous improvement of enterprise security platforms (EDR/XDR, MDM, SIEM, DLP, IAM/IGA, DNS, Email, PKI)
• Develop and refine detection rules, correlation logic, and alert policies for high-fidelity threat coverage
• Conduct proactive threat hunting across security telemetry
• Serve as the deepest internal expert on enterprise security tooling and act as an escalation point
• Participate in on-call rotation for security alerts and incidents
• Audit and validate security control effectiveness and configuration
