Staff Cybersecurity Engineer

Abbott is seeking a Staff Cybersecurity Engineer to lead strategic initiatives focused on product security risks and vulnerabilities. This role involves driving mitigation and remediation strategies across complex product environments to ensure compliance with regulations and meet customer expectations. The engineer will leverage AI-enabled workflows, manage release readiness, and architect systematic remediation strategies.

• Lead strategic cybersecurity initiatives for product security
• Drive AI-enabled cybersecurity workflows and custom model development
• Manage product cybersecurity release readiness, including SBOMs and vulnerability remediation
• Architect systematic remediation strategies and preventive controls
• Validate security fixes through hands-on testing (web, mobile, hardware)
• Communicate technical security concepts to executive leadership and stakeholders
