About this role
As a Staff Security Engineer at NextGen, you will enhance our security posture by leveraging automation, AI, and emerging technologies. You will develop and maintain security tooling, collaborate on cloud-native security policies, and automate vulnerability mitigation across cloud-hosted systems. This role requires a strong software engineering background with expertise in application and infrastructure security threats.

- Develop and maintain security tooling, guidelines, and standards
- Collaborate on cloud-native security policies using Terraform and IaC scanning
- Automate mitigation of vulnerabilities against cloud-hosted systems
- Research and implement security protections for email, hosts, and identities
- Leverage AI tools for security reviews, threat analysis, and risk reporting
- Experience with modern source control, ticketing tools, and scripting languages like Python
