Director, Platform Security Engineering and Operations

Lead the strategy, governance, and execution for Northern Trust's enterprise security platforms. You will guide a team of security engineers, set technical direction for critical security tools, and ensure the delivery of secure, resilient, and audit-ready platform outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and the ability to translate complex security concepts for senior stakeholders.

• Lead and develop a team of security engineers responsible for enterprise security platforms
• Set technical and operational direction for zero-trust, SASE/SSE, network, vulnerability management, and AI guardrails
• Establish engineering standards, operating models, and performance metrics
• Oversee the design, engineering, and operation of intrusion prevention, vulnerability scanning, SASE/SSE, and secure web gateways
• Ensure audit and regulatory support with strong evidence quality and repeatable operations
• 15+ years of IT/cybersecurity experience with 5+ years of leadership
