Security Engineer, Detection & Response

Brain Co. is seeking a Security Engineer, Detection & Response to build and operate our security detection and response capabilities. This is an engineering-focused role where you will design high-signal detections, automate triage and investigation, lead incident response, and translate findings into safer engineering defaults. You will have significant autonomy to shape our tooling, workflows, and operating model as we scale.

• Design, build, and maintain automation for incident response
• Develop and refine high-signal security detections
• Integrate security telemetry and tooling across cloud and application stack
• Lead cross-functional incident response
• Translate incident data into secure-by-design improvements
• Experience with EDR, SIEM, SOAR, or equivalent tooling
