About this role

The Hartford is seeking a Senior Security Engineer to support and enhance their Palo Alto platforms, focusing on firewalls, web filtering, and SSL decryption. This role involves engineering, maintaining, and providing operational support for Palo Alto technologies in both on-premise and cloud environments (AWS, GCP). You will contribute to the future direction of these systems, ensure system currency and stability, and provide technical consulting.

What we are looking for

Engineer and maintain Palo Alto platforms including firewalls, web filtering, and SSL decryption
Support Palo Alto technologies in on-premise data center and cloud-hosted deployments (AWS, GCP)
Provide production support, system maintenance, and operational support metrics
Consult with business and vendor partners on network connectivity and firewall systems
Assess and communicate security risks and findings to stakeholders
Participate in an off-hours on-call rotation
