Security Research Engineering Technical Leader

As a Security Research Engineering Technical Leader at Cisco, you will be the primary security authority for a diverse product portfolio, guiding engineering teams through complex security challenges. You will translate threat intelligence and architectural shifts into actionable priorities, influence leadership, and set the security architecture bar. This role involves leading threat modeling, integrating AI securely into platforms, and defining key security engineering metrics to drive risk reduction and informed decision-making.

• Lead threat modeling and secure design reviews for complex software systems, including AI/LLM features
• Interpret SAST, DAST, and SCA results to provide risk-based remediation guidance
• Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments
• Influence engineering and product leadership to drive security outcomes without direct authority
• Define and lead security engineering metrics for risk reduction and developer adoption
• Advise on secure AI integration and advocate for AI capabilities that enhance security
