About this role
Group 1001 is seeking a Senior Offensive Security Engineer to lead penetration testing and red team operations across our cloud, endpoint, application, and API environments. You will be the technical owner of our offensive testing program, planning and executing tests, managing our bug bounty program, and reducing our external attack surface. This role involves partnering with development teams to integrate security testing into their release cycles and mentoring future team members.

- Lead penetration testing and red team operations across cloud, endpoint, application, and API environments
- Plan, scope, execute, and report on penetration tests with clear remediation guidance
- Partner with development teams to mature application security and SDLC practices
- Manage the private bug bounty program and continuous attack surface monitoring
- Develop and refine offensive tooling, techniques, and processes
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other offensive security engineers
