About this role
SMX is looking for a SOC Analyst to support a customer onsite at Patuxent River Naval Air Station. This role involves detecting and responding to cyber threats, managing security tools, and analyzing network activity. The position requires a Top Secret clearance and 3-5 years of relevant experience.
What we are looking for
6- Detect, identify, and alert on cyber attacks and intrusions
- Implement and manage security tools (SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Monitor and analyze systems for malicious activity
- Document and escalate security incidents
- Analyze malicious activity to determine exploited weaknesses
- Perform event correlation and threat research
