Covestro is seeking a Security Automation Engineer to join their global IT Security team in Leverkusen. This role focuses on building and implementing automated security solutions using AI and Python to enhance threat detection, response, and cloud security. You will collaborate with development teams to embed security best practices throughout the SDLC.

What we are looking for

Design and implement agentic security solutions for automated patching and vulnerability remediation
Build external attack surface scanning solutions using AI and LLM
Develop AI-driven logic for firewall rule analysis and anomaly detection
Advise development teams on secure coding practices and Security by Design
Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Experience with Python, AWS, and CI/CD
