Director Software Quality Engineering & Cybersecurity

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a Director of Software Quality Engineering & Cybersecurity for their OTTAVA Robotic Platform in Santa Clara, CA. This role leads the quality engineering strategy and execution for software-enabled medical devices, including AI/ML, SaMD, and cybersecurity compliance. The Director will partner with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet global regulatory requirements and company quality standards throughout their lifecycle.

• Lead Software Quality Engineering for the OTTAVA robotic surgical platform
• Establish software quality strategies aligned with FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and global regulations
• Oversee software design controls, risk management, and release readiness
• Ensure robust traceability between software requirements, hazards, and cybersecurity controls
• Lead quality oversight for product cybersecurity activities and secure development practices
• Build and develop a high-performing Software QE organization
