Principal Engineer - Infrastructure and Cloud Security Engineer

As a Principal Engineer for Infrastructure and Cloud Security, you will lead the charge in protecting Verizon's global network and enabling secure digital transformation. You will develop and automate security governance, support the design of on-premise and cloud environments, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and defend against emerging threats. • Lead day-to-day operations and stakeholder engagement for infrastructure and cloud security governance
• Automate and improve security governance reporting, dashboards, and maturity models
• Support the design of on-premise, data center, and cloud environments with a focus on zero trust alignment
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance security protections and cybersecurity maturity
• Provide security awareness, training, and compliance programs for network cybersecurity practices
• Partner with cybersecurity teams on active defense, incident response, and threat hunting campaigns
