Technical Staff Engineer - Information Security Systems

Join Microchip's Frequency and Timing Division as a Technical Staff Engineer for Information Security Systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity capabilities for complex enterprise and mission systems, ensuring compliance with government standards. This role involves hands-on troubleshooting of Linux/Windows servers, network devices, and storage systems, along with continuous monitoring and risk assessment.

• Engineer and integrate security controls into system and network architectures
• Troubleshoot Linux/Windows servers, endpoints, Cisco switches, and enterprise storage
• Implement and sustain continuous monitoring for security controls
• Conduct technical security assessments using Tenable, DISA STIGs, and NIST guidelines
• Ensure compliance with NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, and DISA STIGs
• Requires active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly and US citizenship

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

• Requires a Ts Sci security clearance.
