About this role

As a Security Operations Engineer at HPE, you will be a technical lead for our Web Application and API Protection (WAAP) platform. You will administer, optimize, and continuously improve WAAP technologies to safeguard our web applications and APIs from cyber threats. This role involves partnering with various teams to enhance our overall security posture and protect critical digital assets.

What we are looking for

Administer, maintain, and optimize WAAP platform including WAF, API security, bot protection, and DDoS mitigation
Monitor and analyze application traffic to identify, investigate, and mitigate security threats
Configure, tune, and maintain WAF policies, rules, and exceptions
Partner with development, infrastructure, and cloud teams for secure application onboarding
Review security events, alerts, and logs to investigate suspicious activity
Experience with Application Security, WAF administration, API Security, and Networking
