Senior Cloud Security Engineer, AWS GovCloud

Apex Technology Inc is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure cloud environments for U.S. government missions. This role focuses on protecting sensitive data in AWS, Azure, and hybrid clouds while ensuring compliance with federal standards. You will engineer security tools, conduct assessments, and collaborate with development teams to integrate security into cloud operations.

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures in AWS GovCloud, Azure, and/or Google Cloud
• Ensure compliance with NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DoD IL-2/4/5, and RMF
• Configure and manage IAM, RBAC, and Zero Trust Architecture principles
• Engineer and deploy cloud-native security tools and SIEM platforms
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing simulations, and security configuration reviews
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP) and risk/compliance reporting
