Security Engineer, Detection & Response

Scale AI is seeking a Senior Security Engineer specializing in Detection and Incident Response to build systems for detecting, containing, and preventing security incidents. This role involves writing production-quality code to develop high-precision detections, automation for faster response, and improved telemetry pipelines. You will investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and translate findings into engineering improvements.

• Engineer, test, and deploy detection logic across cloud and enterprise environments
• Build and maintain incident response automation, runbooks, and tooling
• Mature telemetry pipelines through improved schema design and quality checks
• Perform digital incident investigations, forensics, and malware analysis
• Integrate alerting with messaging and ticketing systems
• Partner cross-functionally to harden identity and access patterns and close security gaps
