Cyber Security Web Application Firewall Analyst - Entry

Equifax is seeking an entry-level Cyber Security Web Application Firewall Analyst to join their Countermeasures team. In this role, you will monitor and analyze web traffic using SIEM tools to detect threats, deploy and tune WAF security policies, and support incident response by providing WAF telemetry and feedback on vulnerabilities. This position requires foundational knowledge of HTTP, web vulnerabilities like SQL injection and XSS, and the OSI model.

• Monitor and analyze real-time web traffic and WAF logs using SIEM tools
• Detect and mitigate threats such as SQL injection, XSS, and bot attacks
• Deploy and tune WAF rules, transitioning from Log/Simulate to Block mode
• Investigate false positives to ensure valid business traffic is not disrupted
• Participate in security incident response by providing WAF telemetry
• Collaborate with web development teams on application vulnerabilities
