About this role

TrendAI, a business unit of Trend Micro, is seeking a Senior Threat Researcher to scout future cyber threats and attacker techniques for the next 1-3 years. This role involves researching cybercriminal activities, understanding intrusion methods, and analyzing emerging technologies. The researcher will translate offensive findings into defensive strategies, publish research, and collaborate with product teams and law enforcement.

What we are looking for

Research and profile cyber threat actors, their tradecraft, infrastructure, motivations, and business models
Translate hands-on offensive findings into defensive research, detection opportunities, and mitigation guidance
Publish external-facing research including blogs, whitepapers, and conference talks
Partner with Law Enforcement agencies on actionable intelligence
Represent TrendAI at external conferences
Work cross-functionally with product and detection engineering teams
