Detection Engineering Technical Leader

Join Cisco's internal security team as a Detection Engineering Technical Leader, focusing on securing the Splunk portfolio. You will build scalable detection content, collaborate with incident response, mentor teammates, and design future threat detection solutions. This hybrid role leverages deep security expertise, engineering rigor, and data science to transform security telemetry into actionable alerts, utilizing AI/ML to stay ahead of adversaries.

• Design and build scalable detection systems and automation
• Transform high-volume security telemetry into actionable alert signals
• Utilize AI/ML for threat detection and content development
• Drive cross-organizational initiatives to expand visibility and close detection gaps
• Provide technical mentorship and elevate detection engineers
• Collaborate with Threat Hunting & Intelligence, SOC, and Advanced Response teams
