About this role

As a Senior Associate in Commercial Credit, you will play a key role in assessing and managing credit risk for commercial clients within M&T Bank's Financial Institutional Group. This client-facing position involves analyzing financial statements, monitoring loan portfolios, and ensuring compliance with credit policies, serving as a critical link between relationship managers and credit risk management.

What we are looking for

Analyze financial statements and conduct credit risk assessments for commercial clients
Manage existing loan portfolios through continuous monitoring and risk identification
Partner with relationship managers throughout the deal lifecycle
Underwrite new credit requests and material modifications
Ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics and 5 years of experience
