About this role

CIBC is seeking a Leveraged Finance Portfolio Management Analyst in New York, NY to support financial sponsor and corporate clients. This role involves assisting with leveraged finance transactions, preparing credit packages, building financial models, and managing a growing portfolio of borrowers.

What we are looking for

Assist in execution of leveraged finance transactions (LBOs, Recapitalizations, Refinancings)
Support drafting of credit approval packages and memos
Build detailed financial and cash flow models
Monitor borrower portfolio and conduct reviews
Analyze market data and maintain lender relationships
1-2 years of experience in leveraged finance, ratings agency, or investment banking
