Scheduler-Full Time-Days

Schedule patient appointments for tests and procedures, verifying demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information. Ensure medical necessity and obtain physician orders for care delivery. This role involves insurance eligibility verification, pre-certification, referral clearance, and patient financial education.

• Schedule outpatient appointments for all modalities except biopsy and special procedures
• Determine proper scheduling requirements and coordinate resources
• Perform insurance eligibility/benefit verification
• Pre-register patients and inform them of financial responsibilities
• Validate medical necessity for Medicare and Non-Medicare cases
• Provide patient and physician office education
