Staff Security Engineer

LiveKit is seeking a Staff Security Engineer to own security across their entire technology stack, from applications to infrastructure. This role involves proactive risk assessment, secure code reviews, threat modeling, and building security tooling. The ideal candidate is a builder and breaker with a deep understanding of security principles and at least 6 years of software engineering experience with a strong security focus.

• Own security across applications, services, infrastructure, and developer workflows
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks
• Lead secure code reviews, architecture discussions, and threat modeling
• Build tooling and automations for security
• Harden authentication and access control
• Partner with engineers to design secure-by-default systems
