Systems Security Engineer, Level 4

Snap is seeking a Systems Security Engineer to join the Specs Security team in San Diego. You will design, build, and harden on-device security systems for Specs, including permissions, access control, and sandboxing. The role involves developing security and privacy controls for on-device AI features and improving security posture across Snap OS, firmware, and cloud services.

• Design, build, and harden on-device security systems
• Develop security and privacy controls for on-device AI features
• Research, design, and implement security features for Snap OS and firmware
• Improve fuzzing infrastructure and automated security testing
• 5+ years of experience in production software development (C++, Rust)
• 3+ years of experience building security features for embedded or Linux systems
